Meals and drinks -preferences and dietary restrictions

We want you to be completely satisfied with all meals during your sailing adventure, so we study preference sheets to create a unique dining experience. Please take extra time to complete your preference sheet. We will review your group’s food preferences before the trip and prepare one dish for the entire group at each meal. Exceptions will be made for special dietary restrictions, but the galley does not afford the space for individual orders. Once we depart, there are very few areas to restock, so please be very specific in your likes and dislikes on the preference sheet.
We do our best to accommodate special tastes, but in the Caribbean, we sometimes have limited options.

Daily Snacks and soft drinks are included.

The dinghy
Being able-bodied to climb in and out of the dinghy is a must since that is our primary means of transportation. Dinghy rides are short, but sometimes a little wet, and can either be a beach landing or at a dock. You may roll out of the dinghy for some snorkeling excursions as well. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you board and disembark!

Marine Bathrooms
The marine toilets on board Nova are running with salt water. Marine toilets are very sensitive. It is important that what you digest goes into the bowl.
Do NOT put any ‘flushable’ wipes, tissues, feminine products, dental floss, or any other foreign objects in the bowl. A trash bin is provided in each private bathroom.

Connectivity
Nova offers Wi-Fi via Starlink -an extra charge of 150 $ for unlimited connection
There is a cell signal throughout the Grenadines with an international plan, or an E-travel sim card from Digicel or Vodafone Travel will work perfectly.

What to bring?
Recommended Packing List

•    Bring any special medications with a valid prescription.
•    Soft-side luggage
The duffle bag style is highly recommended since your luggage will be stored in your cabin. Any hard-sided luggage that will not collapse will take up limited floor and/or bed space and wheels damage the fiberglass.
•    Non-aerosol bug spray -You will want bug spray for land exploration.
•    Non -Aerosol sunscreen lotion
o    Do not bring tinted or colored sunscreen. Please bring lotion sunscreen, as spray sunscreen permanently stains and is a safety hazard by making the deck slippery.
•    Quick-dry clothing
o    A few pairs of shorts and lightweight shirts
o    Wearing sun-protective clothing, such as rash guards and hats, also helps protect you from the strong sun in the Caribbean.
o    A few bathing suits; beach cover-up or sundress
o    All restaurants are casual around the Grenadines. If you plan on dining ashore in the evening, a sundress and light fabric pants or shorts with a polo or button shirt are more than appropriate. All restaurants will accept beach attire if cover-ups are worn during lunchtime.
•    Flip flops, comfortable walking shoes, and/or water shoes
o    We go barefoot on board, but flip-flops, comfortable walking shoes, and water shoes are best to bring. Keep the heels or wedges at home, please.
•    Dry Bag- If you have a dry bag for personal items and/or phone, it is useful for dinghy rides.
•    Cash

Crew gratuities are customary at 15% - 25% of the charter rate as per level of service and are not included in the charter rate.
o    Many establishments take Visa and Mastercard. It is always good to have some cash, as there are very few available ATMs.
o    The local currency in the Grenadines is the East Caribbean Dollar.
•    Do not bring any illegal drugs
o    That includes no Marijuana in any form with or without a prescription. That means no oils, gummies, vapes, etc.
